Few days ago, we had a big day helping our staff to re-skin and re-code PINOYJOKES.NET, our Filipino jokes site. It was not easy, but like other customisation exercise, it was well worth it.
The process of changing the theme over is not as big a task as deciding which WordPress theme we’re going to use. There are indeed so many high-quality themes around. We had to choose the theme very carefully. It would have been easier if we were start from scratch, meaning just choose any theme that which you think reflects more or less the branding image you want to recreate.
Anyway, from among the many themes, we chose one which was created by one of the larger WordPress themes designers and developers around.
What you see on top of the headline is the new homepage of PinoyJokes portal site.
Jokes and Blogs
Then, over the weekend, we also had the chance to help in the makeover of the Jokes & Blogs section of PinoyJokes.net. Again, the difficult part was not so much of re-coding the theme, but rather selecting the theme that best suits our current and future needs.
We finally decided on choosing a theme from one of our favorite WordPress themes designers and developers. Below is a screenshot of the Jokes & Blogs section immediately after we opened it to the members and users.
