Romeo Cayabyab is a Sydney-based accountant specialising in the provision of management advisory and consulting services through his consulting company, Compucentric Consulting Pty Ltd. He has more than 30 years of experience in the banking and finance sectors in Australia, Philippines and United States.  Romeo’s expertise includes risk management in treasury and foreign exchange operations, international payments systems and business management controls. He was a lecturer in Accounting at the University of Western Sydney and was formerly a Senior Director with the Commonwealth of Australia’s Auditor General. He is a very active participant in community affairs.

Prior to his migration to Australia, Romeo held positions in an investment bank, stock exchange and public accounting firm. He was a lecturer in Accounting & Finance at the U.P. College of Business Administration. Educated at the University of the Philippines, Romeo holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree and a Master of Business Administration degree with honors.

Outside his consulting services, Romeo is also the publisher of a group of websites with focus on the Philippine Community.  Operating under Emanila.com Pty Ltd, the group’s flagship website is emanila.com, a portal site which went online in 1998. In year 2000,  emanila.com became the Inaugural Winner of Australia’s National Multicultural Marketing Awards in Technology.  Today, it runs 30 other websites including websites operating under the emanila series brand.

Combining his professional experience as a business consultant and as a web publisher, Romeo hopes to share ~ through this website ~ his insights and thoughts on business and community-related issues.
