Two weeks ago, I had a deluge of requests to find out “who is my biggest stalker and fan” by going to an application See Who Viewed Your Profile.
A quick and simple checking with anti-spam, anti-scam and techno-centric sites showed that these are rogue applications. One website called them “scams” which I posted in my status:
Lately, we have again seen requests for us to go and see Who Viewed Your Timeline.
A quick check against Facebook help pages shows that “timeline viewing” applications are violating Facebook’s policies.
According to Facebook, there is no way that an application can find out who is viewing your timeline. Rightly so, otherwise that is a breach of privacy.

So next time you receive request to find out Who Viewed Your Timeline, ignore or trash it!
Don’t get too curious! That will definitely save you the day.
From what we have been reading, these apps grab personal information.
Next time you receive lots and lots of spam, or worst you are a victim of an identity theft (which we hope does not happen), you can only blame yourself!
