We take comfort in the ABS data as it validated what we have suspected all along. Wyndham and Blacktown are two districts with a large concentration of multicultural groups, Filipinos included.
Among capital cities, the ABS reported that the City of Perth is Australia’s fastest-growing local government area. Perth’s population increased by 10.8 per-cent as against the national increase among capital cities of 1.8 per-cent. And Wanneroo, the largest metropolitan shire outside Perth, provided the capital city that boost. And for those who have been following us on this site as well on The Filipino Australian, Perth has one of the largest concentrations of new arrivals from the Philippines.
We will report more first-hand information as we receive emails from our Australian interstate friends.
