Charge-out rates and fees

For local businesses: I make it very easy for you to do business with me by offering simple hours-based pricing. My charge out rate is much lower than what consulting firms are charging. I am willing to accept small projects that may take less than a day’s work. I am currently overseas and not available to accept any assignments.

For interstate and overseas businesses: I can do interstate or overseas consulting jobs and my fee is days-based pricing plus travel expenses. A project-based fee pricing is also acceptable to me. Don’t hesitate to contact me to find out my availability for interstate or overseas engagements.

For each hour that I charge to your account, I will provide you details of how it was spent and the outcome. This way, you know what you’re paying for. Integrity is an underlying principle behind all my billings.

How do I keep my costs down?

My marketing strategy is pretty simple. I provide enough information on this website to educate prospective clients on my services and capabilities. I may occasionally send out information in the mail to attract prospective clients to this website. But, that’s pretty much it. I don’t hire other people to sell my services. I also don’t print brochures or similar magazines to announce my services.

Because of the information I provide on my site, I do not expect to spend more time than what is necessary to close out an agreement. By this I mean, I will not spend time out entertaining prospective clients or providing extensive presale presentations, meetings, references, etc.

Since I spend most of my time in clients premises, I maintain a very small, unassuming office that provides me just enough room to get my work done and occasionally meet with a client.

My largest business expenses are investments in the tools and technologies that I use in the services I provide. I do not invest in physical facilities and advertising.

This operational strategy allows me to keep my rates very low because I am dedicating most of my time and resources to consulting and not marketing.

If you feel it’s important (and you are willing to pay) for a consulting firm that maintains impressive offices and have a management team that is willing to spend numerous hours convincing you into accepting their services, perhaps you are not my prospective client. There are plenty of good consulting firms out there that use this kind of approach. I’m not one of them.

But if you are serious in availing of cost-effective services that have the elements of experience, innovation and integrity, then I would be very much interested in doing business with you.
